Liverpool F.C. will not change its transfer budget despite Jeff Bezos' investment in the club. The Amazon owner's wealth is estimated to be around $270bn, but the club's sporting side, led by director of football Richard Hughes, will remain in charge of transfer decisions. The club is also bound by financial sustainability rules, which means that Bezos' investment will not directly impact the team's spending policy. The investment is a minority stake, with 1892 Holdings, led by Amit Bhatia, purchasing a 30% share of the club for £1.5bn. Bezos will not become a director of Liverpool, but an expanded board will include Bryan Baum from K5 Sports, a fund in which Bezos is the lead investor. The club's value has increased to just over $7bn (£5.1bn) following the investment. Liverpool F.C. has had a modest transfer window so far, with only Victor Munoz signed for £35m and Ronald Araujo loaned from Barcelona. The club is 25 points behind leaders Arsenal in the title race and has scored 63 goals and conceded 53 this season. League standing (final 2025 table -- new season not yet under way): 5th in Premier League, 60 pts, 17W-9D-12L from 38 games, recent form DLDLW. Goals this season: 63 scored, 53 conceded (+10 goal difference).
