Crystal Palace reportedly turned down a bid from Turkish side Galatasaray for the forward, who is contracted to the London club until 2029. Sarr has not yet made his season debut for Palace, where he has scored 33 times in 92 appearances across all competitions since arriving in 2024.
Diomansy Kamara, representing the player, issued a statement that went beyond this specific transfer situation. "The cases of Ismaila Sarr and Lamine Camara must all alert us," Kamara said. "We have to get out of this logic where the African player can sometimes give the feeling that he is just a commodity: you buy it, you set its price, you negotiate its future and, too often, your will seems to go to the background."
The agent emphasized the importance of player agency in career decisions. Kamara added, "The player must be able to be heard and respected in the decisions that determine his future." This public intervention comes after a summer where Sarr was linked with several clubs, including Liverpool.
